| Getting
to Know Brenda Snell!
GEM Welcomes Brenda
Snell! It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we welcome
Brenda as the newly created GEM Coordinator! Brenda brings vast
public sector experience to the position as well as a long list
of qualifications. Brenda worked for the City of Washougal for
13 years, picking up a variety of experiences that we were looking
for in the GEM Coordinator position. She also did contract transcription
work for the City of Vancouver for various meetings. Brenda’s
experiences and qualifications include: finance, clerical, administration,
grant writing, oral presentations, and a host of other skills.
On a personal note, Brenda is a native of Clark County, and has
lived in the Camas area for the past thirty years. Brenda has
been married to husband Marty for over eleven years and has a
four year old son Tanner. Brenda says, “Tanner and our 90 pound
Golden Retriever are inseparable – it’s quite the sight!” Brenda
loves domestic “things” – cooking, decorating, and of course,
being a mom and wife. She also loves to run, bike and swim – often
participating in triathlons and the annual Hood to Coast Run.
Brenda will be assisting the GEM Board with meeting minutes, maintaining
the GEM directory and contact list, tracking expenses and savings
realized by GEM members, developing summary reports to show cost/benefit
returns of GEM to member agencies, assisting with media releases
and a whole lot more!
Please e-mail Brenda to introduce yourself and give her a friendly
GEM welcome. Her direct e-mail address is: Brenda@gematwork.org.
