August 2000 - When the Hazel Dell Little League came home from the 2000 Little League World Series, the community embraced the opportunity to celebrate.

When the Board of County Commissioners asked for banners to be placed over two multi-lane County roads, Public Works used the GEM concept of inter-agency cooperation to meet a very short deadline. CPU had the experience to help span 70 feet of roadway. Clark Public Utilities didn't hesitate one second in offering a bucket truck and employees to facilitate completion of the project. Seen here in the photos is the CPU & County bucket truck and employees working together.

Also practicing the GEM concept, Battle Ground School District made their band/choir risers available as a portable stage for the community reception.
